HI! Welcome to Launceston, second city in Tasmania, third oldest in Australia. Enterprising Launcestonians founded the city of Melbourne in 1835.

As you are human you are a part of the humanity and an associate member of Humannity, regardless of age, sex, race, skin colour, religion and politics. Humannity is all about morality: all violence is morally wrong and all killing is murder. The extra "N" in Humannity stands for Nature, for if we fail to respect Nature we have no future.

We believe that all humanity is equally precious, deserving of Life, Liberty and the Right to earn a living. Even if all violence ceases we face colossal tasks of rehabilitation. There can be no PEACE unless there is Truth and Justice. Telling deliberate lies prolongs injustice; injustice leads to disputes and violence.

What can we Do?

We must acknowledge that the Earth is our only home and every day, every year is a new beginning. We call on everyone who is aware of this to assemble at population centres around the world at 10-11am on Saturday the 1st of January 2005: New Year's Day. Then in your own words acknowledge the unity of mankind and pledge to renounce violence of any kind.

We call on all combatants to cease fire, disengage from your opponents and withdraw to your barracks. Then the United Nations will be able to supervise Peace talks.

The manifesto of Humannity is quite simple:

We WANT every person, organisation and sovereign state to respect the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Had these principles been observed over the past 60 years millions of People would have escaped death, injury and destruction of their homes and infrastructure.

Please: Consult with your organisation, register it with Humannity.

Rally on New Year's Day.

We need to respect even those who are at present our opponents, with no inflammatory, provocative or diversive banners, but DO display positive messages calling for Truth, PEACE, Compassion, Reconciliation etc.

Please report and feedback on the estimated attendance, where possible, even later in the week. As suggested there could be singing dancing, picnics, luncheons, etc.

My Philosophy

This web site contains a sample of my writing, much of it a passionate response to the Australian Governments’ inhumane treatment of refugees and its involvement in the United States’ illegal attack on Iraq in March - April 2003. During this one sided slaughter of the Iraqi people I refused to accept my aged pension.

In the winter months I wrote and compiled a book entitled Half Bushman; Half Bookworm which was launched on the 12th October, 2003. In this work I was ably assisted by Katherine Barnes and an international student supplied the evocative centerfold cartoon.

Now in a campaign for a non-violent solution to the world’s problems I have launched a moral movement, called Humannity, which is intended to be the voice of all PEACE-lovers regardless of race, nationality, age, gender, religion, or culture.

The Human race is at crossroads, but we can make history by choosing PEACE. First we should acknowledge that all intentional killing of human beings is morally wrong. All manufacture, deployment and use of military weapons is morally wrong.

Humannity calls for an immediate cease fire around the world and the withdrawal of all armies of occupation to their home country. Only then can conflicts be resolved by arbitration.
